Product Description

The first step is precise raw material batching and uniform mixing. According to different product grades, manufacturers proportion high-purity quartz sand, soda ash, borax and auxiliary mineral materials in strict ratios. These raw materials determine the hardness, refractive index, weather resistance and structural stability of glass beads. 
The second step is ultra-fine grinding and homogenization. The mixed raw materials are sent to professional grinding equipment to be processed into uniform fine powder. 
The core step is high-temperature flame melting and spheroidization. The qualified fine powder is continuously sent into a high-temperature flame furnace with a temperature ranging from 1300℃ to 1600℃. In the high-temperature flame environment, the glass powder instantly melts into liquid glass droplets. Relying on the physical surface tension of liquid glass, the droplets automatically shrink into regular spherical shapes without manual extrusion or molding. 
After spheroidization, the high-temperature spherical glass particles enter the automatic cooling system for rapid and uniform cooling. The temperature is controlled stably to prevent particle deformation, cracking and internal stress. After cooling, the liquid glass droplets completely solidify into stable solid.
The last procedures are impurity removal, screening and precision classification. The initially formed glass beads contain a small number of oversized particles, undersized particles and tiny impurities. Through multi-layer vibrating screening and airflow classification equipment, unqualified particles are completely removed. Qualified glass beads are divided into different mesh sizes and particle grades according to industrial standards to meet different civilian industrial application requirements.
The entire production process of glass beads is a physical high-temperature processing procedure without chemical reaction and pollution. The finished glass beads feature high hardness, smooth spherical surface, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, non-toxicity and stable weather resistance.Their reliable performance and cost-effective production process make them widely used in general industrial fields.

Glass microspheres is in industrial coatings and surface finishing materials.
